The Iris OG (Original) is the flagship acoustic guitar model from the Iris Guitar Company, handmade by a small team of luthiers in Burlington, Vermont, USA. The "Sunburst" or "Burst" finish is a popular option on this model, which is highly regarded for its vintage-inspired tone and aesthetic.

The guitar is loosely based on vintage small-bodied Gibson models like the LG-2, making it comfortable and very responsive, with a distinct, dry, and woody tonal character.

• Construction: The Iris OG features an all-solid wood construction, typically with a Sitka Spruce (sometimes European Spruce) top and Mahogany back and sides. The neck is joined using a modern bolt-on mortise & tenon joint, which Iris Guitars utilizes for stability and vibrational transfer.

• Bracing: It uses Scalloped Adirondack Spruce X-Bracing, contributing to its resonant, dynamic voice and impressive midrange response.

• Finish: The guitar is finished with an Open Pore, Natural Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer, which is a very thin application that allows the wood to breathe and resonate freely, giving it a broken-in feel and sound.
